Summary: Turbify / Yahoo Small Business used to be fantastic. There have been recent technical changes which have been inconsistently communicated. There is no access to my website or customer service at the moment.
If there are problems - outreach via social platforms and would help customers.
This has happened before and the thought of using a back up version of the site and the time it takes to check links, content etc.... There should be compensation for small businesses who cannot access their servicesPositive: 1. Ease of use

Summary: 20 years with a simple website with 2 forms mailers. Nothing elaborate. Pure html pages. Started with Yahoo which morphed to Yahoo 'Small Business' then to 'Luminate' - which I did have some minor pains getting their forms mailer configured (just security related stuff - thanks to all the mail spammers out there.) But now with 'Turbify' I have to upgrade. Whatever account subscription I have no longer has a forms mailer service. I have to ADD that. This is how the rabbit hole starts. Time to move on.
Positive: They answered the support chat I guess.
Negative: Apparently we have to pay more to get a new service that was the same service we had before when we didn't have to pay more.

Turbify Web Hosting Not Working Date: Mar 03 2023
Summary: Since Turbify took over there has been multiply problems. They need to prorate their charges and not expect customers to pay for the time the website wasn't working properly.
Positive: Friendly staff, yet it has all been outsourced to India and some language barrier. Turbify tech support told me the system is not working right, which I knew 3-2-23 and they are trying to fix it Thanks for the honesty.
Negative: Tech support outsourced to India, very nice people, but some are not too tech savvy and some communication barriers. Turbify is down or not working properly and has been for a week or so, they need to prorate their charges to their customers and not charge for the time the site has not been working properly. I have not been able to edit my site since 2-26-23 and before that it would freeze up when I was linking audios, the right click does nothing, but left click performs several different tasks depending on what it feels like?? I look at the website one minute and it has the three bars for links and then the next time I look at it, it has it the way I designed it in the first place with links all across the top.

Summary: Looking for a new hosting service been with Yahoo so long it's hard to leave but it appears I have out grown this pond and I need to spread my websites to different companies.
Positive: Easy website builder.
Price affordable. 24/7 service easy to get ranking most of my pages were on the first page search engine.Negative: Failure to send email for downtime The went through a nameserver change January 19, 2023 by March when I was ready to publish new information they told me my websites were still in queue this is unacceptable.

Summary: Horrifying. Guarantee you will be paying for outside assistance or moving your site.
Positive: Nothing so far... If you want your business to fail host with Turbify.

Frequent Price Increases Date: Apr 22 2025
Summary: I have been a Yahoo / Turbify user since 2007. I have a simple website and 2 email accounts, all of which use minimal storage.
The price was reasonable before 2023, but then increased 33% in Sept 2023, then up another 20% in June 2024, and then another 10% in January 2025. No notifications were provided, and I don't know if this will continue. Goodbye Turbify. You are forcing me to leave.Positive: I don't have a demanding website or difficult email needs, so it does those fine. I designed my own website, and don't require Turbify to do much of anything.
Negative: Turbify did 3 significant rate increases in the last 18 months totalling a 75% increase! No notifications or explanations provided, so I don't know if more price increases are coming until I'm forced to leave.

Summary: Terrible .... would like to transition away from Turbify. unfortunately the website if from 2008 so there is a lot of data that is preventing me from easily transitioning.
Positive: NONE. THERE IS NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT THIS COMPANY.
Negative: WORST COMPANY EVER - INCREASING RATES EVERY THREE MONTHS RANDOMLY. Someone needs to investigate this company to check if it is a fraud. Not sure why YAHOO was so irresponsible to randomly transfer us over to TURBIFY.

Summary: No one should ever use a Turbify (Turdify) product. How can an email provider refuse to fix a problem with in synching with Outlook, the most used email platform on the planet.
Positive: NOTHING!
Negative: Turbify or should I say Turdify, email hasn't worked with outlook for more than a month and this is a known issue. There are imap server issues which they still haven't fixed and blame Microsoft. I didn't select Turdify as a provider. I purchased a hosting package with Yahoo several years ago and Verizon bought Yahoo which then sold their email services to Turdify. If I wouldn't lose 100,000 stored emails, I would change providers.

I called to ask for a refund the moment the charge was made, but they said I could not receive a refund. Horrible business and complete lack of business integrity.

Summary: For starters, my domain was "pending" when it should have been active. Next, something on their backend was failing to redirect our a-record to another server. After 7 calls to customer service, I was more or less told "Not my circus, not my monkeys." Customer service is more or less useless. This company is a scam. Avoid at ALL costs.
Positive: There are none. Absolutely no pros to using this service. I only ended up with it because it started out as Yahoo Small business and was resold time and again, ending in their lap.
Negative: They are 3x the cost of any place else. Useless Customer Service. Simplest tasks do not work.

Summary: Avoid at all costs. As mentioned, high cost, very nominal features, very difficult to contact service, often times very hard to understand with the thick accent and rarely do they help you resolve a problem.
Positive: Can't think of anything. Really nothing good to mention that is not available elsewhere for less money and coming with better service.
Negative: Price keeps going up. That might be OK but service is non existent. Way back when Yahoo Small Business was pretty good but has been on a steady decline for years. Basically these nice chaps from India like to tell you that everything is fine from there side so move on. And move on is what I'll be doing.

Yahoo Small Business sold to Turbify. Date: Dec 16 2023
Summary: When they disabled our business acc. with no warning, I called and they said they restored it, 72 hours later still no email, then I asked when it will be restored I get our backup team isn't in and they can only restore 7 days worth of backup, we've had this email acc. for 17 years and they can only back up 7 days, IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN DELETED. What a joke. if you have this company as a provider you need to find another avenue.
Positive: No Pros When they disabled our business acc. with no warning, I called and they said they restored it, 72 hours later still no email, then I asked when it will be restored I get our backup team isn't in and they can only restore 7 days worth of backup.
Negative: The Con is they mistakenly disabled our Radio Station Business acc.

Summary: When it was Yahoo it was easy to use and the service was excellent. With each succeeding new owner the service level declined, until with the sale to Turbify everything fell apart. I was forced onto a new and clumsy website builder. The help desk people cannot understand basic English, so don't get anything fixed, but are quick to demand good reviews after NOT solving my problems. Then, at the latest renewal, they sneakily hiked up the fees. If it was possible to leave Zero ratings I would do so.
Positive: My site can be made to work.

Summary: The Turbify website and services are less than impressive. Slow and not far from being a user friendly.
Positive: Nothing I can add here. Let's be honest. The service was managed by Yahoo and moved to some unknown brand.
Negative: What a sneaky tactic to double the price! You log a compliant and a ready email from a sneaky customer service informs you that you have received an email sometime ago (who is untrue) about the price increase for some BS improvements. Then two days after you receive an email about a price increase.

Summary: Like others I was moved to Turbify from my LONG time use of Yahoo Small Business. Yahoo went through a few other transitions but overall I liked much of its service, one transition was pretty bad but nothing compares to the move to Turbify. I have never experienced customer and technical support as bad as this in my many years in this field.
I really have nothing to add to the other reviews here except I moved to Dreamhost and have nothing but the highest recommendation for Dreamhost versus Turbify. Dreamhost customer service is excellent (do have a little wait time if you use chat but again nothing like Turbify), they can actually FIX the issue for you, they follow up. And their pricing is much better.
Stay away from Turbify or move to something like Dreamhost ASAP. (I am also one of those who very rarely writes reviews but feel it is important in this case.)Positive: Nothing, I honestly cannot think of a positive/'pro' to list here. There are much better services out there.
Negative: Customer service, tech support, billing and costs, extended down times and no refund
